Who can attend the Buzz Learning Academy?

Buzz Learning Academy is open to children and youth in grades K-8. We welcome families from all backgrounds. As we grow, the program may expand to include all grades.

What types of activities does the program offer?

Activities include homework help, tutoring, arts and crafts, STEM projects, fitness and wellness activities, Bible-based character lessons, and group games to encourage teamwork and fun.

When does the program take place?

The program runs Monday through Friday, from 3:00 PM to 5:30 PM during the school year. We do not operate on early dismissal days or over breaks and holidays.

Is transportation provided?

Yes, complimentary transportation is available from Big Elm Elementary, Lumberport Elementary, and Lincoln Middle Schools to Buzz Learning Academy. Parents are responsible for picking up your children from the Academy.

What is the cost of enrollment?

The program is designed to be affordable for families. Tuition is $100 per month per student. Scholarships and discounts are available for those in need. Please reach out to us if you need financial assistance!

Who supervises the program?

Buzz Learning Academy is directed by Michelle Frase. Michelle brings a passion for young people and a wealth of professional experience in leadership, education, health, and safety to the Academy.  Classes are led by compassionate staff members and dedicated volunteers who have undergone background checks and training to ensure a safe and enriching experience for all children.

How does Buzz Learning Academy support academic growth?

We provide homework assistance, tutoring in key subjects, and engaging STEM activities to help students excel academically while fostering a love for learning.

Does the program include religious instruction?

Buzz Learning Academy offers optional Bible-based character lessons and values discussions. We incorporate Chrisitan values throughout the curriculum and have a dedicated Bible study day weekly.

What safety measures are in place?

Safety is a top priority. We maintain a secure facility, enforce strict check-in/check-out procedures, and adhere to a low student-to-staff ratio. We have medically trained staff present during sessions, AED onsite, and first aid materials.
